Welcome

I have always been drawn to boats and water. In the summer of 2003 I joined the Oregon Women's Sailing Association and got my first taste of sailing. OWSA offers members an opportunity to sail each Wednesday evening during the summer months. Life interfered with sailing and I only sailed with OWSA for two summers prior to 2009. In March 2009, I bought a 1968 Cal 2-24 sailboat.

After a long search, I have become serious about buying a different boat. I chose to have it surveyed by a professional surveyor, Alison Mazon. Alison with her camera Roger Londberg my boat in it's slip erik at the helm

Notice how many times I wrapped the bow line around the cleat, it's a sign that I am a beginner. I started a basic keelboat class in April at Portland Sailing Center and I am loving it.
